ESTATE MANAGEMENT

Long Term Care, Not Seasonal Attention

Blannicombe is managed with a clear understanding that good sport begins with good land management.

Throughout the year, attention is given to every aspect of the estate. Hedgerows are restored and maintained to provide shelter and nesting habitat. Field margins are planted and managed to support pollinators and encourage wild bird populations. Woodland is carefully tended to ensure it remains healthy, productive and beneficial to a wide range of species.

Game management is part of this broader picture. Responsible predator control, carried out within the law and with care, supports ground nesting birds and contributes to a balanced ecosystem. Feeding programmes and habitat work ensure that wildlife is supported throughout the year, not only during the shooting season.

This is not short term work. It is a continuous process that evolves over time, requiring consistency and attention to detail. The results are seen not only in the quality of the shooting, but in the overall health and diversity of the landscape.

Our role is to manage the estate in a way that ensures it remains productive, balanced and sustainable for the future.

Stewardship here is measured over decades, not single seasons.
